The Flow.

I have this beautiful visual that helps me when times get hard and in the face of adversity. It’s this idea of a river. Water has been used as a metaphor for life for many years but specifically this idea of a river is powerful.

A river flows no matter what’s in it’s way, whether it’s a rock or tree, the water continues to flow in the direction it set about. As humans we get stopped easily by obstacles, road bumps on the way to achieving our goals. It’s every river’s mission to get back to the sea, and that should be our goal as well, to come back to ourselves.

Next time you come up a rock or tree in your life, think of the river and do what you must to get around it. Let your dreams propel you and accomplish what your heart desires.

All My Best,
Roy

“A river is a river, always there, and yet the water flowing through it is never the same water and is never still. It’s always changing and is always on the move. And over time the river itself changes too. It widens and deepens as it rubs and scours, gnaws and kneads, eats and bores its way through the land.”
