Joe DeAntona is a career US Army Officer, professional teacher, mentor, public speaker, leadership coach who is focused on motivating and inspiriting executives, entrepreneurs and teams to achieve excellence. He supports business leaders in giving them a fresh look at their organization and leadership skills, to helps them to create a trustworthy, healthy and productive company that will thrive in this constantly evolving business environment.
Having served 30 years in the United States Army ultimately achieving the rank of Colonel, Joe has extensive experience in leading organizations under the most stressful environments. He is a veteran of Operations Desert Shield/Storm, Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Joe’s experiences include understanding the theory, the practice and the application of leadership, character growth, team development and building an atmosphere of trust within organizations ranging in size from six to six thousand.
In addition to his career in field operations Joe also served six years teaching undergraduates at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point where he served as an Assistant Professor, the Dean of Student Affairs and as a Division 1A Deputy Athletic Director. At West Point he educated, trained and inspired 4,000 cadets to become leaders with character who are committed to duty, honor and country so that they can embark on a successful career upon graduation.
Joe’s experiences while stationed overseas provided him with a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills across a broad range of cultures and communities. Having this knowledge he is able to help leaders gain an understanding of their team so they are able to communicate and motivate and create an environment of trust that will improve job satisfaction, reduce turnover and enhance productivity. He provides guidance in daily operations from recruiting, succession, messaging, career planning, international relations, strategic planning, and management coaching and training.
As a career coach, corporate trainer and keynote speaker Joe brings his real-world expertise to the Human Capital Group. Working with his clients Joe develops a unique plan of action to inspire results, accomplish goals and create a positive climate to enhance productivity. Joe currently lives in South Florida with his wife Lisa. He is the father of two grown children and most recently became a Grandfather. Joe is also very involved with the Youth Impact Program, which is a summer program that promotes positive development in low-income, urban-based, at-risk middle school students, between the ages of 10 and 14 years old.
